Why A Mission?

~Doctrine and Covenants Chapter 4 verse 3 "Therefore, if ye have desires to serve God ye are called to the work."~

The buzz all throughout the world started on an october morning in 2012 when the President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced that the age of missionary service was lowered to 18 (for young men) and 19 (for young women). I remember hearing the news while standing in a hallway at the Shakespeare Festival on the campus of Southern Utah University. In a matter of moments, lives all over the world were changed. Not just for the young people who would make the choice to serve, but also the lives of the people that are all over the world who will have the opportunity to hear about the most amazing and exciting message of this day and age!

~Doctrine and Covenants Chapter 4 verse 4 and 6 "For behold the field is white already to harvest; and lo, he that thrusteth in his sickle with his might, the same layeth up in store that he perisheth not, but bringeth salvation to his soul... Remember faith, virtue, knowledge, temperance, patience, brotherly kindness, godliness, charity, humility, diligence."~

I want to share the message we have! That God loves us-ALL of us! He has given us a way that we can be eternally happy! In 28 days I will be a missionary for this gospel, and I will be serving on Temple Square, which is the headquarters of the church, and the grounds of the beautiful Salt Lake Temple.

You can see a short video about where I will be serving here! It is an amazing place, so if you haven't been, I would definitely suggest you visit!

I am very excited for my opportunity to serve. It will be the best 18 months of my life.

~Gordon B. Hinkley (Former President of the Church) "You will come to know that what appears today to be a sacrifice will prove instead to be the greatest investment that you will ever make."~
