I don't know what to put as the subject haha (April 25th)

This week was excellent! Along with many teaching appointments there have been a lot of things that have made me really think. (Of course, when I say think I mean prayerfully ponder haha).

Easter was SO good! We met a young women at Alan's baptism who the Elders have been teaching for about a month now and she asked if she could come to Music and The Spoken Word with us! Now, mission rules say we can only go to MATSP once a transfer, but when we told the assistants to the president they said, "Yeah you can go with her! Let us know how it goes!" So we got to go twice this transfer! WOO! And it was excellent, of course. (: On Sunday afternoon the senior couples of the mission planned an Easter lunch for all of us, which was so sweet (literally and metaphorically speaking). All in all, it was just a wonderful Easter. (:

In District Meeting on Tuesday my district leader asked me to give instruction on weekly and daily planning. To stress the importance of planning I shared with the district the story of McKennah (with her cousin and grandma) when they went to London for her senior trip. Hahaha it's classic and was very affective. (If you'd like to hear the full story you'll have to ask McKennah about it.) (: That along with the classic Book of Mormon story found in Alma 43-merely pointing out the Lamanites lack of preparation when deciding what to wear when heading to battle.

This has nothing to do with anything but don't you find it humorous that Mormon said this when paraphrasing the continuation of battle, "And thus the Nephites did carry on the work of death among the Lamanites."? I thought it was kind of a funny way to put it, but maybe that's just me....

On Wednesday we took a tour with a sweet lady visiting from Michigan. We began at the Assembly Hall, went on to the Tabernacle, and were on our way to the Christus when I felt very strongly not to go to the Christus but to take her downstairs where the displays of the Book of Mormon were. We went down there and began to explain about The Book of Mormon, what is was and what it was about. She didn't seem too interested in it and didn't ask very many questions about it. Near the end of our conversation she suddenly asked, "Well...so if you're not Buddhist you wouldn't carry around a Buddha and if you're not Catholic you wouldn't carry around a Crucifix...but is it disrespectful for people who are not Mormon to purchase a Book of Mormon? And do you know where someone could buy one?" We were SO shocked! I told her, "Oh! No that's not disrespectful at all, in fact, we love sharing the Book of Mormon with anyone who wants to read it! We have free copies here and we would love to give you one. Would you like a Book of Mormon?" She said yes! It was so crazy... haha so we walked her upstairs, took down her information and gave her a Book of Mormon. We told her we'd like to keep in touch with her and she said that was completely fine! It was so neat because it really appeared like she didn't have much interested until, well, she asked for one. Haha(: That was a really neat miracle story from this week.

Alright well it's time for us to head so I love you all and hope you have a wonderful week! Thank you for the prayers and support!

Love yous!
Sister Davis
